Als sich zwei jugendliche Musikbegeisterte Anfang der 1960er-Jahre in der Londoner Bromley Technical High School kennenlernen, ahnt niemand, dass hier eine der ungewöhnlichsten Freundschaften der Rockgeschichte beginnt. David Bowie der später zu einem der einflussreichsten Künstler des 20. Jahrhunderts werden sollte, und Peter Frampton, der spätere „King of the Talkbox“, sassen gemeinsam im Kunstunterricht, träumten von Musik – und machten sie auch zusammen. Bereits in der Schulzeit verband die beiden mehr als nur das gemeinsame Umfeld. Es war Bowie, der dem jüngeren Frampton die Welt
